Phuket King's Cup Regatta 2022
The Phuket King's Cup Regatta is Asia's biggest and most popular regatta. More than a regatta, the weeklong event consists of great parties, great sailing and lots of fun. Inaugurated in 1987 to celebrate the 60th birthday of His Majesty the King of Thailand, the event has been held during the first week of December every year since.
Phuket provides one of the most beautiful sailing locations in the world.
For 2018 we will be collecting the boat in Phuket the week before the regatta, ensuring we have plenty of time to sail the amazing water surrounding Phuket before the start of Race week.
The waters surrounding Phuket provides the most amazing sailing with outstanding natural landscapes and will allow us to experience the culture of Thailand.
Before the exhilaration of the racing and parties, we will be able to soak up the Sun (temp 80–90 degs) and scenery while the UK is in the full grip of winter and pre-Christmas madness.
Having relaxed, we start the racing invigorated and prepared. When the racing ends, the evening entertainment begins with the finest Thai food and beach parties held at different venues each night. The regatta is a really sophisticated sailing event! …. It just has to be done !!!
During Race Week we have the opportunity to move off the yacht and into air-conditioned hotel rooms at very reasonable prices, which start at around £45.00 each per night (highly recommended)
The race week is 1st to the 8th Dec we have the boats until the 9th arriving back in the UK on the morning of Monday 10th
Thailand
We will be sailing in one of the most unusual and unique
cruising grounds in the world. The beauty of the Andaman Sea offers peace and tranquillity among the most dramatic scenery.
On the journey around Phuket we will sail the cruising grounds of the Butang Islands which lie south of Krabi to Tanutao. The Islands are set amid stunning scenery and the shorelines are
dotted with golden beaches and small fishing hamlets. With fantastic underwater visibility, the coral and marine life is outstanding.

This year’s boats will be matched Sun Odyssey 44i, spacious 3 cabin cruising yachts, accommodating a maximum seven crew and the skipper.
