In addition to our RYA training courses which are available throughout the year, we also offer a number of specialist training opportunities outside the RYA Cruising Scheme. All our training weekends are run by our RYA Yachtmaster Instructors.

Reach 4 the Wind – has developed specialist flotilla preparation weekends. These courses are a must for the dinghy sailor, with little or no yacht experience, wishing to join a Mediterranean or Caribbean Flotilla.

Our Skippers, who are all RYA Yachtmaster Instructors, have extensive sailing experience in both the Mediterranean and Caribbean. This practical course, which is run on board our Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 35, will cover the inner workings of the yacht, boat handling both under sail and power, navigation skills, passage planning, the various mooring and anchoring techniques, as well as sharing those useful holiday tips which are normally only discovered after many weeks of flotilla sailing.

Why not join in on one of Reach 4 the Wind Master Class weekends? These weekends can be tailored to the group’s individual needs and can cover such things as Astro Navigation (including the use of a modern day sextant),
Racing techniques, Sail trim, Spinnaker flying etc.

You identify the need and Reach 4 The Wind will create a tailored programme which will cover both the Theory and the Practical.
 
Master Classes will be undertaken on board our Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 35

Join us on board our Sun Odyssey 35, or our Beneteau 40.7s for a weekend of specialist Race Training. Your Skipper will be a RYA instructor / Examiner with many miles of race experience under their belt.  
  
During the weekend, which we will tailor to your groups individual needs, we can cover such skills as Sail Trim, Spinnaker Flying, Racing Techniques as well as the effects of weather and tides.
